Shipping policy

1. Shipping Destinations MicroplastX ships within the United States only. We are currently unable to ship to U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations. Unauthorized international resales are not supported and are not eligible for refunds or returns.

2. Processing Time Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or federal holidays will begin processing the next business day. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

3. Shipping Methods and Delivery Estimates We ship via standard carriers (USPS, UPS, or FedEx). Estimated delivery times are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after dispatch, depending on your location. MicroplastX is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control.

4. Shipping Costs Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and selected shipping method. Original shipping fees are non-refundable except in cases where the kit arrives damaged or defective (see our Refund Policy).

5. Risk of Loss Risk of loss and title for all products pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. If your tracking shows delivered but you have not received your package, please contact your carrier directly and then reach out to us at hello@microplastx.com with your order number.

6. Return Shipping If you are returning an unopened, unused kit within the 30-day return window, return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item sent, damaged on arrival). We will provide return instructions by email. Please do not ship samples to our mailing address — always use the prepaid return envelope included in your kit.

7. Prepaid Sample Return Envelope Every MicroplastX kit includes a prepaid return envelope for sending your collected sample to our CLIA/COLA-accredited laboratory partner. Please use only this envelope for sample return. Laboratory turnaround is typically 2–3 weeks after the lab receives your sample. You will be notified by email once your results are ready.

8. Damaged or Lost Shipments If your kit arrives damaged or with missing components, contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@microplastx.com with your order number and photos of the damage. We will ship a free replacement at no cost to you. Claims submitted after 7 days may not be eligible for a replacement.

9. Order Cancellations You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before it has shipped. Once an order has been processed and handed to the carrier, it cannot be cancelled and the standard return policy applies. To request a cancellation, contact us as soon as possible at hello@microplastx.com.

10. Changes to This Policy We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your order.
